Hey you!
Welcome to The Awesome Printables! I’m beyond excited that you landed here and super grateful that you are willing to give up some of your time to spend it with me.
I’m Laura and I love creating useful printables, being a Mom, an entrepreneur, a teacher, and a mental health advocate.
I am fiercely loyal, super camera shy (this will undoubtedly be the only personal photo of myself you will find on this site!), love bubbles – the drinkin’ kind, and have an unhealthy (not really, but kinda!) obsession with everything related to being creative, self care, personal development & DIY!
Coming from a diverse background, I have lived around the world, but now call Paris, France, my home.
I am an adoptee and am Mom to little C!
We all know that being a Mom can take its toll on us – even if we are Super Mamas!
The reality is that sometimes, it’s just super hard to keep all those balls up in the air and we just need a breather and stop juggling!
Little C keeps me on my toes, and thanks to her, I feel that my purpose in life has been amplified, as she makes it impossible to NOT want to be the best version of myself and she ensures that I am held accountable for being me and only me – every single day!
She is one of the fundamental reasons I decided to get this blog up and running.
My why
As a young teacher, I was always on the lookout for great worksheets and activities I could use for my students.
Being a language teacher, creating my own printables was the norm, because most times the textbooks just didn’t cater for how I wanted my students to learn & remember what I was teaching them.
Throughout the years, I have accumulated quite a few binders filled with worksheets and activities.
Some that completely bombed (oops!), some that were just so dang good (if I do say so myself!), that I sometimes wished I could go back to school and learn all over again!
And what I learned from creating my own worksheets, is that simplicity goes a long way.
But simplicity doesn’t mean it has to be boring & plain.
Being a very creative person, and loving to share what has worked for me, with other parents & educators, I thought I would mix both my passions and actually help out other parents who just don’t have the time to browse for hours on the internet to find exactly what their kids need or want.
When COVID came around, I was trying to juggle between being a Mom, teaching my classes online and being a social being!
I also didn’t want my daughter to be on front of a screen for hours on end!! So, I recycled some of my old worksheets and made up little booklets for her to complete when I couldn’t be with her.
Let me tell you, these went down like a charm!!
Because, let’s be real, if your kid(s) is like mine, whenever I used to buy coloring or activity books, my daughter never completed all of the pages and it was always a struggle to get her to finish the books, before buying new ones.
Sounds familiar?
As an eco-conscious human, it dawned on me, very early on, that we should be able to just buy & use what we needed and not have to deal with the surplus of what was initially purchased!
That’s why I have created bundles and single-sheet printables. There’s no need to print out a whole bunch of sheets, unless you want to! You just pick what you need and come back for more (if you want to, of course!).
The great thing about my printables is that they not only cater for your little ones, but also for you.
Because, printables are not only our little ones.
If you are looking for self care bundles, journals, planners, adult-coloring-in printables, even wall art ideas, & more, then you’re in the right place.
My mission for this blog is to ensure you are finding what you want and being able to download and print out only what you need.
So don’t hesitate to hit me up and email me what you need the most, and I’ll see what I can do to cater to your printable needs.
I’m so glad you’re here!
